Downloaded 2020 updates for sat nav and installed on USB without a hitch. Unable to install to car but Brian, via a series of prompt emails, very helpfully pointed out an error in how I saved my files. No issues from then on - FSC code worked perfectly and I now have 2020 map installed replacing the original 2014 version.

First Class Service

I ordered a BMW map update and code for my X5 outside of office hours, I was expecting to wait till the morning but received and email within 10 minutes.

The email had all the information and "How to Install" guides which made it so simple, even I managed to do it. I plugged the USB into the X5 and followed the instructions on the screen and it loaded up.... now I have the most up to date map :-)

Process is simple, even if you are not tech savvy.

I did the update for 6 year old maps on my 2015 Mini Cooper-S. The procedure is almost identical on all BMW models. Instead of me describing the procedure step-by-step, take a look at this example on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugCyrRwu9pM. That procedure is identical for the Mini. I wanted to avoid any complications, so I chose the £39 option of maps pre-loaded on a USB stick + the lifetime FSC Code. For the 2015 Mini, the only real difference from the above film, is that the USB socket is located directly the below the row of chrome toggle switches in the lower centre of the dashboard. I found the process quick and easy, and it's definitely something you can easily do yourself even if you not technical at all.

Ordered 2022 Maps and FSC Codes to update the navigation in two BMW's for a fraction of the price that a BMW dealer would charge for one! Perfectly usable instructions and super-easy to complete. We now have the latest maps having upgradeed from 2016 -- no-more driving "across fields" when we use the new roads that have been built in the last 5 years! Bought the western Europe map update for BMW 5 series [2015]. Suggest people pay the extra £10 and have them send the update preloaded onto a memory stick [through the post]. Worked a treat - whereas I previously loaded the software onto my memory stick but the car wouldn't recognise it. Very reasonable price. Map works perfectly.

I had problems using 7Zip to unpack the map files and needed to use WinRAR as Brian suggested.

Made a purchase of an update and code for my BMW on a Saturday evening, immediate automated email confirmation and a separate, personal, email requesting the VIN. Not long after replying I received the download link and instructions. Files downloaded overnight, and as requested I emailed for the authorisation code on Sunday once loaded onto my USB drive, expecting a reply at the soonest the next. Nope, less than am hour later I was installing the update in the car.
