Installing the SD card update is straightforward:
- Insert the SD card into the navigation unit.
- When the pop-up menu appears, press the "assign" button.
- Once assigned, another pop-up menu will appear, asking you to use SD or install. Press the "install" button on the screen.
Please note that the map upload process can take up to 2 hours. The navigation system will continue where it left off, even after turning off the engine. When the update is complete, you'll receive a prompt indicating it's finished. If you miss the prompt, you will see a screen displaying "installed files v12" or "files on SD card v12." In either case, it's safe to remove the card from the slot.
📦 Keep the Original Card:
It's important to keep hold of the original SD card. Once the update is installed, it becomes locked to your specific system and cannot be used in another vehicle. You may need the original card in the future.

RNS 315 V9 NAVIGATION UPDATE
Good service - prompt reply to queries & good product knowledge. Fast delivery - ordered Friday delivered Saturday. Good product- New card, professionally labelled; don't know if this is a VW original product or not, but if not it's equally as good. Very good price - might be possible to get it a couple of pounds cheaper elsewhere but even if so I'd buy from LatestSatNav again. Highly recommended, has to be 5 Stars.

Best price around for this version, having been warned off v9,10 & 11. Ordering is easy, delivery very prompt. Took 2 hours to install, needed 3 switch ons of radio to complete, but no issues at all.
Not sure where the map data comes from. I'd assume they would update the previous versions so was expecting same images, new info. Not so. Our local A14 trunk rd has been 'downgraded' to standard A road for part of its length, strange. Speed limits now only displayed in towns. Just different, suppose I'll get used to it. Very VW

The update arrived within 24 hours. Communication was excellent, Emails usually replied to within a couple of hours. The SD card looked an original makers part. Payment could be deferred for three weeks if required. Only wish all companies worked to this high standard. Will use again for my next update
